In 2005, Jeremy began to feel God’s call into the ministry. This call became clearer in November 2006 when he participated in my first short-term missions trip to Niger, West Africa, for the purpose of evangelism. After returning from Africa, the call to pastoral ministry was solidified and Jeremy enrolled in seminary.
In October of 2007, Jeremy and his wife Sarah participated in the International Mission Board’s “Hands On” program and in January 2008, they spent two weeks in Tanzania for training and the next four months in South Africa tutoring elementary and high school children English and Math in a local township.
Jeremy is honored to be active in the Scott City Ministerial Alliance, the Cape Girardeau Baptist Association and to have been a member of the Missouri Baptist Convention Executive Board. Jeremy Sells has served as the pastor of First Baptist since September of 2011.
