Cheryl has been employed at First Baptist Church of Scott City for twenty-nine years as of April 23rd, 2023. She was raised in Cape Girardeau and moved to Scott City thirty-eight years ago. She became a Christian during a revival held at Red Star Baptist Church at the age of 16. She has been married for forty-seven years and has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Cheryl’s favorite bible verses are: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28 and “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. Cheryl graduated from Cape Central High School and took Secretarial and Bookkeeping at Cape Vocational School.
