Children (FBSC Kids)

First Baptist Scott City (FBSC) considers it a privilege to minister to your child.  Our desire to teach children (Newborn to 6th Grade) about Jesus Christ so that they have Christ-like Character (Heart), Biblical Conviction (Head), Christ-Honoring Service (Hands), and Christ-filled Community (Home).

We want to take this time to make you aware of our new time for Children’s Church (Grades 1-6). We are excited to offer Children’s Church each Sunday Night.  Our schedule for Children’s Church is as follows:

  • At 5:00 pm, church vans leave the church to pick up children whose parents are not bringing them.  Please contact us if you need the van to pick up your child.
  • At 5:30 pm, we have a meal for the children and volunteers.  If your child has any allergies, please contact us.
  • At 6:00 pm, Children’s Church officially begins!
  • At 7:00 pm, Children’s Church ends and vans will begin taking children home.

In order to help us minister to your children, we provide you with a “Parent’s Guide” and a “Registration Form”.  For information on our van service, please see the information on the back of this form.

In addition to our Sunday night Children’s Church, also have other FBSC Kids ministry times:

Sunday Morning

FBSC Kids offers age-based Sunday School classes at 9:45 am.  Our lessons focus on the importance of loving God and loving others.  Please join us as we learn the importance of knowing God.  At 10:45 am, we have nursery for all children under 4 years old.  All other children are brought into main worship service in the sanctuary.

FBSC intentionally does not schedule Children’s Church during the AM worship service because we feel it is important for families to worship together.  If a child does not have a parent/guardian, a “Pew Pal” will be assigned to sit with them.

Wednesday Evening

On Wednesday night at 7:00 pm we have a Missions study to teach children (Grades K-6) about missions and the work God is doing throughout the world.  Childcare is provided for children under four.

If you have any questions, concerns, need transportation, or have suggestions, please feel free to contact the church office.  Again, we welcome you and your child to FBSC Kids and are excited about partnering together in the spiritual growth of your child.
