Rebecca Hardwick has been serving as our Women’s Ministry Director for five years as of June 1st, 2023. She has been in the Scott City area since December of 2010. Rebecca grew up going to Waldo Baptist Church in Metropolis, IL under the teaching of Brother Jack Russell. She was blessed with Christian parents who faithfully taught her God’s word and to be discipled by many faithful Christians during her childhood. Rebecca thought she was saved when she was five, but, though she genuinely loved the Lord, she did not fully understand at that age what giving her life to Christ meant. She gave her life to Christ during a revival at her church when she was eleven years old. Her life as a Christian hasn’t always been perfect, but it is her desire to grow in her faith and to follow Christ. Rebecca has been married to Steve Hardwick for fifteen years. They have four children: Aubrey, Mason, Ava, and Ali. Her favorite Bible verse is “Consider it all my joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4. Rebecca majored in Biology at Murray State University. She later went through training to become a financial specialist for the Family Support Division of Missouri Social Services. In 2017, Rebecca became a stay at home mom. She enjoys cooking & baking, which eventually led her to officially start a catering and specialty desserts business in 2021. Rebecca enjoys taking online courses on cooking, baking, and dessert decorating.
